I have listened to the podcast twice now. In my English class, I am working on my second essay. It’s a definition essay where the professor gave a list of personality types: snob, bully, con artist ect. “Religious person” was one. I descried to write about the JW’s and this podcast helped remind me of some absurd teachings they have.
I will now be a regular listener to The Thinking Atheist.

here are some picture in my neighborhood.. our house was not affected.
there is possibly more flash flooding expected tonight.. in the picture below our house sits at the bottom right corner about 2 blocks out of frame.
yesterday and tonight we are staying in another town with family.. .
Our tap water is now safe to drink. Highway 119 – our main road in and out of Longmont and Boulder – is being repaired. Our community is less than a mile from the main river that flooded. We were very lucky our little community didn’t get flooded. There's months if not longer of cleanup and repair left for the affected towns.

Friends, accusations are very serious things. We know how Jehovah feels about a false accuser, so care must be taken when we accuse others. We are just like you. We love Jehovah. We anxiously await the bloody slaughter of seven billion men, women, children and babies.We would allow our children to die painful, preventable deaths rather than treat them with blood. We go to the elders before we go to the police when we have evidence of sexual molestation. We fear Smurfs. We avoid independent thinking disguised as critical thinking. We shun when Jehovah says shun, even if it means we throw our unprepared children out onto the streets or let our parents die alone after they have sacrificed their entire lives for us.

in the first few minutes of the show.......it show a road leading into the small town.
The show is slanting kinda biblical. The 4 horse men of the apocalypse. That’s what the headless horseman represents. 144000 is in every bible. Not just the NWT.
They talk alot about Revelation, Judgement day and 2 witnesses... ect
I doubt there is an JW connection... Would be funny though... So far it's a pretty good show.

Slim – I'm not particularly fond of the phrase either but it is affective getting the point across. I do like Borg. I’m a Star Trek TNG fan. Assimilate or die. “Resistance is futile.” It’s a fitting phrase.

a mother gray whale and her calf get separated from the pod (jehovahs organization and weekly meetings) and this makes them vulnerable to attack because they dont have loving companions for protection.. .

i guess the kids and teens are on line too much unsupervised and getting into trouble..
For every kid or person who leaves the WTBTS is one less dollar ($XXX.XX) amount they loose out on. I bet they know an average dollar amount per publisher donated. Those who learn TTATT stop donating and therefore the need for the “Needs of the Circuit” talk??
